B2Digital Inc (OTCMKTS:BTDG) has been busy, and it may be worth further investigation as a rapidly growing OTC player in the live sports media space with a strong focus on Mixed Martial Arts pay-per-view events, branding its niche as the “development league for the MMA”.
This is a vertically integrated model – BTDG has its own training facilities, its own media machine which produces and distributes its own content, and it puts on its own live events.
The company has also recently been rapidly expanding both its marketing and the reach of its distribution, which has led to new breakout records in PPV viewership at its events.
The other big key here is that the company just booked a large round of equity capital through major investment interest from Triton Funds, the nation’s largest student venture investment fund, with terms totaling an investment by Triton in the company’s common equity of as much as $5 million.
Exponential Growth in Reach
Now, with its recent move to gain access to the OTT viewing audience, the footprint enjoyed by B2Digital Inc (OTCMKTS:BTDG) for gaining new fans and viewers is expanding exponentially.
That was highlighted this morning with the company’s announcement of the live launch of the new B2 Fighting Series App for Over-The-Top distribution on Apple TV.

Greg P. Bell, Chairman & CEO of B2Digital, commented, “Earlier this month, we added access to 40 million new potential viewers by integrating B2 MMA into Amazon Fire TV. We have nearly doubled that OTT reach this week by adding access to the Apple TV audience. At the same time, we have a series of top Live pay-per-view MMA events ready to roll out over coming weeks, and we have an improved model for marketing and delivering that content that allows us to capitalize on the pent-up demand factor in place right now for live sports entertainment.”
According to the release, an Ampere Analysis study from earlier this year determined that the Apple TV Plus service has grown to an audience of over 33 million viewers in the U.S.
This catalyst follows the company’s announcement earlier this month of the launch of its B2 Fighting Series App on Amazon Fire TV, which carries over 40 million viewers.
Hence, as noted in this morning’s release, “the Company has now added access to a total audience of over 70 million new potential OTT viewers for its Live and Archived MMA events this month.”
That’s huge news for the stock because its added reach could translate into a piece of the estimated $6.8 billion annual pie that is the overall global OTT Live Sports marketplace.
The Road Ahead
It may not take long to start to gauge the impact of this jump in total audience reach: B2Digital Inc (OTCMKTS:BTDG) is headed next to Elizabethtown, Kentucky, for HRMMA 116 on November 6.
That event follows its very successful HRMMA 115 event at Sloan Convention Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky, which was sold-out for limited in-person seating and set a new company record for pay-per-view ticket sales.
“We successfully brought exciting MMA action back to the Bluegrass state for the first time in over seven months, and we did it in style with a spectacular pulse-pounding night of premier mixed martial arts,” commented Bell. “We also set a new record for digital participation, which continues to underscore the success of our B2InstaStore marketing and sales strategy as well as the simple fact that fans are charged up and excited to see more live MMA action.”
HRMMA in Kentucky will be followed by a string of events to wrap up the fall fighting series season in mid-December, according to recent scheduling information from the company.
