Futures associated with the Dow Jones Industrial Average experienced a decrease of 81 points, equivalent to 0.19%, while S&P 500 futures saw a slight reduction of 0.16%. Meanwhile, Nasdaq-100 futures remained relatively stable, fluctuating around the neutral point.The principal indices are entering the year-end period below record highs, with the S&P 500 and Dow demonstrating increases exceeding 25% and 14%, respectively, positioning them for their most favorable annual performance since 2021.
The Nasdaq has registered a gain of over 31%.The key benchmarks are also on track for a successful fourth quarter, with the Nasdaq poised to achieve its longest streak of quarterly gains since the second quarter of 2021. Market participants are optimistic that equity valuations will continue to appreciate as the year concludes and the new year commences, potentially catalyzing what is referred to as a Santa Claus Rally.
